raw messina was always about

the people. Recently, I was talking to a bright, young art curator, who said to me: “choose the piece, not the artist”. It gave me pause, but he was right. However, I must say, I still have trouble disconnecting the two. The idea for this space is born out of the need that we felt to connect better than an email list can do, to many of our supporters, friends ( often overlapping constituencies ), and family.

Yeah, we kind of consider you family, after all. We might not hear from each other weekly, but when we move a step, it’s you we think about. The road we’ll do together.

Here we’ll post links and maps to what we do exclusively, providing you with access to our strategies and absolutely not sustainable practices.

Let’s have fun together and show the world a good time at your fav artist run space.

raw messina è sempre stata

una questione di famiglia. E come in tutte le famiglie ci sono stati momenti pazzeschi e momenti più difficili, ma nonostante un uragano, due figli piccoli, un cane labrador con carenze affettive e una pandemia siamo qui. L’altro giorno parlavo con il grande Lorenzo Bruni che mi ha consigliato: scegli il pezzo, non l’artista. Che bella lezione, che dono è stato. Mi ha fatto riflettere e crescere ed è stato affettuoso da parte sua, condividere questa piccola gemma con tanta passione.

Io faccio ancora fatica a scindere le due cose, e forse per questo, raw messina è un posto un po’ particolare.

Qui siete come in famiglia, condivideremo i nostri prossimi passi e vi annunceremo le direzioni, le strategie ( se ce ne sono, non credo ), le idee che ci frullano per la testa di volta in volta, sollecitando feedback.

Avrete accesso a contenuti extra e periodi di grazia in cui decidere prima degli altri se volete seguire i nostri workshop, le classi o le previews.

E poi quando facciamo le magliette nuove, le felpe, i poster o le mitiche scatole regalo per le feste potrete dire la vostra e prenderne una cutom prima degli altri. Non male dai!
